Often, there are low expectations for the academic success of football players. However, the Lake Braddock Football family prides itself on the classroom achievements of our players. We are committed to keeping the “student” in student-athlete, and that is evidenced by the decals players are able to earn throughout the season for their academic performance and then place on their helmet right alongside the decals they earn for their on-field performance.
At the beginning of the season, players are awarded decals based on both their overall GPA and their final grades for the previous academic year. Then, as both the season and school year begin and progress,players’ grades are monitored weekly and based on those reports,players are able to earn decals both for academic improvement and continued classroom successes.
